At Neighbor to Neighbor, we've had a whirlwind year. Our brand new Thrift Store enjoyed a successful opening at the beginning of November, thanks to our dedicated volunteers and wonderful patrons. Sunday, November 22nd, was poised to be our grand dedication service. Restrictions on indoor gatherings had just been issued, so sadly the event was not as grand as initially anticipated.

 Armed Forces Day is a National holiday to thank the men and women of the 5 branches United States Armed Forces. First conceived by President Harry S. Truman, the holiday was established in 1949 due to the recent unification of all military branches under the Department of Defense. Armed Forces Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of every May, this year falling on May 15. We ask that you pass along our Church's greetings to any Service People in your family and offer special prayer that God will "give His angels charge over (them) to keep them in all (their) ways" (Ps 91:11).

Here we are, at another Christmas season. However, this 2020 Christmas is not like any other Christmas before. Did you notice that the lights and decorations are going up earlier this year? It seems that many people are tired of the gloom and discouragement this pandemic has caused. 

For your safety, Pioneer's Earliteen and Youth Sabbath morning programs are now meeting virtually, until further notice. Join the Earliteen Sabbath School via Zoom, and Elevate - Youth Sabbath School via YouTube. Meet you there!

Update: We invite you to take part in Feed the Need, Pioneer’s annual food collection coordinated by our Evergreen Pathfinder Club. Please bring non-perishable food to church on Sabbath, November 20 through the main blue awning entrance to be received by our Pathfinders. If you know of a family in the area who needs food for Thanksgiving, you may call the office at 269-471-6565. Please provide their full name and complete home address when you call. Thank you for your generosity.

Thank you for the prayers, visits, and food brought to our home during Hazel's declining health. Our hearts were touched by the love, friendship and compassion demonstrated by our Church family.
