Adult Sabbath School

The Sabbath School is believed to be the heart of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.   That’s where the believers study the Bible in depth.

Sanctuary Sabbath School at the Pioneer Memorial Church offers a unique spiritual nurture experience.  In addition to English classes, Portuguese, French, Serbian, Kiswahili classes meet in the sanctuary as well.

PMC Sabbath School classes follow the GROW model.  Nurture, fellowship, Bible study and missions play a vital role in all the classes.  All the sanctuary classes utilize the Bible Study Guide published by the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist.  While approaches may vary, it is Bible Study with class participation.

PMC Sabbath School start immediately after the first service with a song service.  A 15-minutes mission feature precedes the Sabbath School classes.  The Bible Study in the class setting include forty-five minutes of discussion and conclude with a prayer.

Jesus said: “You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me” John 5:39.

Everyone, members and visitors, are welcome to the PMC sanctuary Sabbath School.
