Welcome to the Small Group Main Page

The words “small groups” never appear in the Bible.  And yet, from Genesis to Revelation, the Bible is replete with stories of people deciding to do life together in small groups.  Take Jesus for example.  One of his very first acts when he began his ministry was to create a small group of 12 apostles.  Jesus’ actions serve as a blueprint for our life.  By choosing to do life with a group of 12 disciples, Jesus is teaching us that belonging to a small group is a necessary ingredient for a complete, fulfilled, and satisfying life.

A small group is like an oasis where a group of 6 to 12 people gather to receive care and be cared for.  The group meets weekly or biweekly to study the Bible, share concerns, pray, serve, grow, or complete a task.  The overarching purpose is to ensure that in a large congregation like PMC; no one is neglected. Small groups are all about connecting, discipling, and evangelizing. Why wait any longer?
